Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Sandy Springs Festival, an Event of Heritage Sandy Springs, a 501c3 Non-profit perserving history and building community. Below are the areas of we need volunteers:
- Artist’s Market: features hand-made jewelry, distinctive crafts and unique gifts
- Business & Civic Expo: a unique opportunity for businesses and civic organizations to showcase their services to thousands of attendees, while also getting to know the local community
- Collector Car Show: an eclectic array of your favorite classic automobiles and sports cars
- Children’s Park: activities especially for younger children including hands-on crafts, a petting zoo and pony rides, make-it/take-it activities
- Teen Territory: inflatable rides, bungee jump
- Doug Kessler Lightning 10K/5K: USATF-certified road race; starts at 7:30a.m. on Saturday,
September 25th and will kick off the Festival. The race is held on a beautiful, tree-lined residential course along Mt. Vernon Highway. The race is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier.
- Food Court: a variety of tasty treats from local restaurants and regional vendors
- Heritage Crafters: a group of talented guest crafters demonstrating 19th century traditional activities such as blacksmithing, quilting, doll-making and weaving
- Kiwanis Pet Parade: pets of all shapes and sizes parade through the Festival sporting creative and crazy costumes
- Entertainment: features a variety of local amateur and professional performers throughout each day
- Silent Auction: a variety of items including gift certificates, jewelry and special trips
