Sandy Springs History Oral History Program
Timeline of Sandy Springs History Research Library

The Oral History Program records, transcribes, and archives first-person narratives of long-time Sandy Springs residents as a way of preserving our past. In 1996, resources from the program were developed into a traveling exhibit entitled "Sandy Springs: Old South to New." The exhibit contains audio, images, and text in a small format exhibition.

The Oral History Program has also served as the primary resource for the development of "A History of Sandy Springs: Old South to New South" video. Rich with first-person narrative, period music, and fascinating images, the video brings the history of Sandy Springs to life.

To rent the traveling exhibit or borrow the video, call 404/851-9101 or email us.
